JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for basic lawn/landscape maintenance as part of a crew team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mowing turf, edging, and blowing
- Pruning shrubs and low tree branches
- Planting and maintaining flower beds
- Laying sod
- Pulling weeds
- Applying mulch
- Picking up trash or debris
- Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
- Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform landscape duties
- Digging trenches and holes
- Irrigation
- Moving soil, equipment, and materials
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting, bending, squatting required
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in and around various landscaping settings including direct contact with various plant and landscaping materials and exposure to various dust, noise, and weather conditions.
- Will be required to follow specific safety guidelines.
- Have a positive attitude, willing to learn, and a team player
- Flexible to work overtime
EXPERIENCE:
- Landscape maintenance experience preferred
- Bi-lingual English/Creole OR English/Spanish is a plus
