Our History
Owner, Steve Goodridge has deep roots in the community, having resided in Boca Raton since 1972, witnessing a small town transform into a sought-after destination with a booming real estate market, unmatched worldwide.
Steve’s expertise in landscape was developed early on, as his father was the owner of two retail nurseries, where he spent many weekends, summers and long days learning all the aspects of the business from the ground up. Quality was never compromised, and attention to detail was always in the forefront.
Upon graduation from the University of Florida, with a business degree and a strong ambition to build something from the ground up, Land Designs was launched.
The initial business plan focused on bringing high quality landscape installation to the south Florida area. Having access to the finest nurseries to source our materials, Land Designs was certain that this was attainable. However, early on we realized that in order to continue the process following the client’s initial installation investment, we would need to maintain our finished product.
The maintenance plan would include weekly service of the property as well as an all-encompassing approach, which would include pest control, irrigation maintenance, fertilization, and all aspects of the customer’s landscape. The company would also oversee and facilitate – on the customer’s behalf – tree trimming services, installation of seasonal annuals, as well as cypress mulch and landscape upgrades as necessary. Always keeping in mind the customer’s needs and personalizing the landscape based on personal taste.
We are most proud of the team that we have built. Our team members keep our day-to-day operation up and running. Many of these dedicated individuals have been with us since our inception and their expertise is invaluable and has helped us attain the goals the company set out to achieve in 1987.

Land Designs of Southern Florida proudly performs high end, residential landscaping services along a specific portion of the east coast of southern Florida.
East Boca Raton is home for the majority of our customers, but we happily operate from Fort Lauderdale to Gulf Stream.
